Complexity, Asian Medicine, and the Intelligence of Healing‍ ‍

The world is a complex system that we can study through many living examples.  We have an epitome in Asian Medicines to ground a starting place for discussion to discover patterns generalizable to other systems levels of measurement.

This 3-hour panel workshop, "Complexity, Asian Medicine, and the Intelligence of Healing," is organized into three, 1-hour sessions. It is designed to shift participants from a mechanistic "machine" model of health to a Complex Adaptive System and Living-Systems perspective, utilizing Asian Medicine as gold standards for complexity investigation.

Many Asian medicine models start with the assumption of the body as a whole system, interacting with other systems in their context, making them a great example for complexity investigation. We will engage with a 5 person Expert Panel, featuring scientists and clinicians from Complexity Science, Asian Medicine, and Placebo Science to discuss treating common conditions through Asian Medicine frameworks like Ayurveda and East Asian Medicine.

Join us to discuss how these naturalistic medicines can offer insight into current issues of health, and how solutions can be applied to other problems in our modern world.
